We collect the following categories of personal data:
Account information — Your name and email address, collected when you join our waitlist or create an account at checkout.
Purchase information — Your billing name, email address and order details, collected when you make a purchase. Payment card data is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
Salary and career data — Information you voluntarily provide to Sally or the Dashboard, including your current salary, job title, industry, employer type and negotiation goals, for the purpose of generating personalised coaching.
Coaching conversation data — The messages you exchange with Sally during coaching sessions.
Technical data — IP address, browser type and session data collected automatically for security and functionality purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your personal data for the following specific purposes and on the following legal bases:
Order processing and account access — We use your name, email address and order details to process your purchase, create your account and grant you access to the Sally AI Coach service. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Personalisation — We use the salary data, job title, industry and negotiation information you provide to tailor Sally’s coaching, scripts and advice to your specific situation. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
AI coaching processing — Your conversation messages with Sally are transmitted via a secure server-side connection to Mistral AI’s API solely to generate your coaching responses. Your data is not used to train AI models. Mistral AI is a French company and processes your data within the European Union. Mistral AI processes this data as our processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Research — We may use anonymised, aggregated data to conduct internal research into the causes of the gender pay gap. This data is fully anonymised before use and cannot be traced back to you. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
B2B data licensing — Where you have given your explicit, separate and optional consent, we may include your data in anonymized, aggregated datasets that are licensed to B2B customers such as HR technology companies, compensation benchmarking firms and gender pay gap researchers. These datasets contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to any individual. B2B recipients are contractually prohibited from attempting re-identification. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at info@lifeequality.dk — withdrawal will not affect your access to the service in any way. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). This purpose only applies to users who have explicitly opted in.
Service emails — We send transactional emails related to your account, purchase confirmation and service access. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Marketing emails — Where you have consented, we send update emails about LifeEquality news and new features. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
No employer disclosure — We will never share your specific data or Value Vault contents with your employer or any third party without your explicit prior consent.
4. Data retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
B2B dataset consent records: retained for as long as your account exists, as evidence of your consent decision
Account and coaching data: for the duration of your active subscription, plus 12 months after cancellation or last login
Order records: 5 years from the date of purchase, as required by Danish bookkeeping law (Bogføringsloven)
Waitlist and marketing emails: until you unsubscribe or request deletion
Anonymised aggregated research data: indefinitely, as it cannot be linked back to you
• No Employer Disclosure: We will never share your specific data or “Vault” contents with your employer or any third party without your explicit consent.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We use the following third-party processors. Each processes your data only on our instructions and under a written Data Processing Agreement:
Where you have opted in to B2B data licensing, anonymised aggregated datasets may be shared with recipients in the following categories: HR technology companies, compensation benchmarking firms, academic institutions and gender pay gap research organisations. No personally identifiable data is included in these datasets. Each recipient signs a data sharing agreement prohibiting re-identification.
| Processor | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Mistral AI | AI coaching responses (Sally) | European Union (France) |
| Stripe | Payment processing | United States |
| Simply.com | Website and data hosting | EU |
| Mail Mint (self-hosted) | Email marketing | EU |
Transfer basis: Mistral AI is based in France and processes your data within the European Union — no international transfer occurs. Simply.com A/S is a Danish company and stores all data within the EU — no international transfer occurs. Mail Mint is a self-hosted plugin running on our Simply.com server within the EU — no international transfer occurs and no data is shared with any third party. Stripe is based in the United States — transfers of your personal data to Stripe are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. You may request a copy of the applicable SCCs by contacting us at info@lifeequality.dk.
We do not sell your personal data. Anonymised, aggregated datasets may be licensed to B2B customers only where you have explicitly consented, as described in Section 3 above.
6. Automated Processing and AI Coaching
Sally AI uses automated processing to generate personalised negotiation advice based on the information you provide. The logic analyses your salary data, job role, industry and chosen strategy to generate tailored scripts and arguments.
This does not constitute solely automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of GDPR Art. 22. All coaching suggestions are recommendations only — you decide whether to act on them.
Your conversation data is transmitted to Mistral AI to generate responses and is not retained by Mistral AI for model training under our Data Processing Agreement.
7. Data Security
We take the following technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data:
- All connections to lifeequality.dk are encrypted via HTTPS
- Your Value Vault data is stored encrypted
- API keys and AI system prompts are never exposed to the browser — all AI calls are made server-side
- Payment card data is processed entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers
- User sessions are rate-limited to prevent bulk data scraping
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on lifeequality.dk. A full list of the cookies we use, their purpose and duration is available via the “Manage Consent” button at the bottom of any page on this site, managed through our Complianz cookie consent tool.
You may withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by clicking “Manage Consent” in the bottom corner of any page. Strictly necessary cookies required for login, checkout and security remain active regardless of your consent choice.
9. Your Rights Under GDPR
As a resident of the EU/EEA, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, contact us at info@lifeequality.dk. We will respond within 30 days at no charge.
Right of access — Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including your coaching data, account information and order history.
Right to rectification — Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data we hold about you.
Right to erasure — Ask us to delete your personal data. We will comply unless we are required to retain it by law (e.g. order records under Danish bookkeeping law).
Right to restriction — Ask us to pause processing of your data while a dispute is resolved, rather than deleting it.
Right to data portability — Request a copy of the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Right to object — Object to processing based on legitimate interests (e.g. internal research). We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
Right to withdraw consent — Where we rely on consent as the legal basis (marketing emails, B2B data licensing), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing or your access to the service.
Right not to be subject to automated decisions — Sally’s coaching is generated automatically but does not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. You are always free to disregard her advice.
10. How to Complain
If you believe we have handled your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority:
Datatilsynet Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark Email: dt@datatilsynet.dk Website: datatilsynet.dk Phone: +45 33 19 32 00

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
